Although we can provide most of our customers with a complete proposal of equipment and installation cost via phone and email, it is advisable to have a survey carried out for certain commercial and industrial buildings, especially in challenging situations. A site survey would consist in having one of our engineers visit the site in order to make sure we are able to provide you with the correct system. This is to insure that each party is aware of exactly the solution being implemented. The price of the survey is just to cover travel cost of engineer. Other companies can offer similar services often for over 5x the cost of our site survey.
WCS will complete the following during the site survey process:
After the site survey is completed we will be able to provide you with a complete proposal of cost of equipment and installations services. The cost of the survey depends on travel cost of our engineer. Most will cost the base $595 but in some rare cases a surcharge will need to be made in order to accommodate some remote areas or quick deadlines. The survey funds will be credited back to our customers if they do decide to purchase our repeater system. The proposal is the property of the customer and they are allowed to use it to compare prices and services with other proposals if they choose. Surveys are often scheduled within two weeks of payment being received.
After you have completed the purchasing process of the survey, one of our representatives will contact you to let you know that we have received payment and are beginning to schedule your survey. After consulting with the Site Engineers we will provide you with a few dates that we have open for our engineers to come to site. In most cases, we will secure a date within 48 hours of receiving payment. The site survey date is normally within two weeks of the purchase date. In some rare cases, dates may need to be extended for flight schedule, site location, or work load of the traveling engineers.
The engineer that arrives to the site will also be the engineer that helps designs your system. We believe that the same engineer that arrives for the site survey should be the lead engineer through the entire implementation process to ensure nothing is lost in translation and each engineer takes responsibility for each project.
The same engineer will be on site during the installation/calibration and will follow up on any future maintenance or service calls. Our customers will not need to search for help as they will have one dedicated manager of their system from start to finish!
